A Word from Annette

Dear students and parents,

The new season has gotten off to a wonderful start. We began with an exciting Dance Intensive the last week of summer. Josh flew in from New York and dazzled us all with his incredible theatre dance choreography. Tony Vitale, formerly with the Manhattan Dance Project, intrigued us with his fabulous tap rhythms. Jenni Gould flew in from Phoenix and shared her hip hop and contemporary moves. Those participating got the opportunity to meet and work with our new ballet mistress, Stefanie Middaugh. Everyone is excited by her addition to our staff. All the students involved were inspired and anxious for the new season to actually begin.

All competition groups are starting to work on their new pieces for this year and everyone is raring to go!

One of the most exciting things about the new season is that it marks the beginning of our 30th year. It's difficult to believe that it has actually been that long. I think back on the thousands of kids who have come through our doors and who have gone on to have wonderful, exciting and productive lives. They've become dancers, choreographers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, dentists and on and on. They write, they come back and visit and they bring their children to the studio for dance lessons. You have to admit that I'm pretty lucky to have such a wonderful extended family!

So, aside from planning this season's recital we are also beginning to plan the 30th Gala. We are going to make it the best ever! Keep checking the website to find out what the special plans will be and which children's charity we will be supporting this time.

Thanks for thirty years of dancing happiness..........
