Annette Bergasse | Dance Instructor and Owner of Annette and Company

Annette Bergasse is the Owner and Artistic director of Annette and Company. She has dedicated a lifetime of experience to the field of dance. She has studied dance with such internationally known masters of choreography as Matt Mattox, Luigi, Gus Giordano, Lea Darwin, Joe Tremaine and Jerry Ames. Annette first studied dance in Detroit with Julie Adler. She then studied theatre at Wayne State University and studied acting with Clyde M. Vinson in Detroit, as well as Uta Hagen in New York City.

Ms. Bergasse worked as an actress in residence with the Court Players Theatres in New York City, which has given her choreography the added dimension of drama and production. Annette’s extensive background in all types of performance spurred on the natural evolution to exclusively focus on instruction and choreography. She is dedicated to bringing contemporary dance to the Metropolitan Detroit area. Annette and Company is the highest volume studio in the state, spanning four storefronts, and accommodating over fifteen hundred students. As her reputation has spread, Annette has been cast as resident choreographer of Detroit area, choreographing and producing shows for B’nai B’rith, nightclubs, schools, universities and even videos for MTV!
